Club Volunteers
Team Managers:
The Backbone of Every Team
Supporting Players, Families, Coaches, and the Club Throughout the Season
Behind every successful team is a dedicated Team Manager helping keep communication organized, schedules updated, and game day operations running smoothly. Team Managers play an important role in supporting coaches, families, and players while allowing coaches to focus on player development and training.
The Role
A High-Level Overview
Team Managers serve as the primary organizational support person for a team throughout the season. While coaches focus on training and player development, Team Managers help coordinate many of the administrative and communication tasks that keep the team running efficiently.
It is a volunteer role that makes a meaningful difference — both for the coaching staff and for the families who rely on clear, consistent information throughout the season.
Team Communication
Helping share important updates, schedules, and club information with families in a timely and organized way.
Game Coordination
Assisting with scheduling games, confirming opponents, and helping ensure teams are fully prepared for match day.
Referee Payments
Helping manage referee payments and game-day administrative responsibilities when required by the club.
Family Support
Serving as a helpful point of contact between families, coaches, and the club throughout the season.
How It Works
A Partnership Role
Team Managers work closely with coaches and club leadership to help create a positive experience for players and families. They help ensure communication flows smoothly, important information reaches families, and logistical details are handled efficiently throughout the season.
While Team Managers assist with organization and communication, coaching decisions, player development, playing time, and team strategy remain the full responsibility of the coaching staff.
Team Managers help make the season easier for everyone involved.
The Impact
Helping Teams Focus On What Matters Most
By handling communication, schedules, administrative tasks, and game-day operations, Team Managers allow coaches to spend more time focused on developing players and creating a positive team environment. Their volunteer efforts play a significant role in the success of every Cleveland Flames team.
